Tax Deductions and Quarterly Payments

Registration for this event has closed.

Do you know which federal tax deductions you’re entitled to? Should you count your home office as a deduction? How do you calculate a quarterly tax payment and what you owe for the newly implemented Metropolitan Commuter Transportation Mobility Tax? When you know the answers to these questions, you can budget more effectively throughout the year and avoid IRS penalties.

Join Freelancers Union and CPA Howard Samuels as he discusses what federal deductions business owners/sole proprietors are entitled to and how to handle making estimated payments.

*This discussion will not cover different types of companies (S-Corp, LLC etc.) or any other tax topic not mentioned in the description.

Howard Samuels, CPA MST, is the managing partner in S&C LLP, a New York City--based certified public accounting firm providing accounting, bookkeeping, and tax services for individuals and small- to medium-sized businesses. Howard has a Masters Degree in Taxation from Pace University and holds his undergraduate degree in accounting from Syracuse University. Howard has been practicing accounting and tax for 19 years.
