FIC Checklist

Your Insurance ID Card
You will have online access to your temporary ID within one week of enrolling.
- Your permanent insurance ID card will arrive in the mail within three weeks.
Coverage begins on the first of the month even if you do not have your ID card.
- If you see a doctor or fill a prescription before you receive your temporary ID you may be required to pay the bill and submit a claim for reimbursement.
- Dependents over age 18 can register on the FIC website and print one with their own name.

Sign in to the FIC website, www.FreelancersInsuranceCo.com, click on "Wellness" and register for WorldDoc right away.

Your Doctor and Pharmacy Networks
If you ask about FIC insurance at the doctor's office be sure to mention Blue Cross and Blue Shield.
- If your doctor accepts Blue Cross and Blue Shield insurance they participate in the BlueCard PPO® network.
- Your doctor will submit a claim to their local Blue Cross and Blue Shield plan.
FIC's pharmacy network is administered by Medco.
- Mention Medco to your pharmacist so they can access your prescription coverage information.
Both the Blue Cross and Blue Shield and Medco logos will appear on your permanent insurance ID card.
