Disability Insurance
Working Today's Freelancers Union offers long-term disability insurance to eligible Freelancers Union Members nationwide through the Guardian Life Insurance Company of America.
About Long-Term Disability Insurance
Long-term disability insurance replaces a portion of your lost earnings when you are disabled for an extended period of time due to accident, illness, pregnancy or complications during pregnancy. Guardian's long-term disability insurance is only available to members; it is not available for spouses or children.
Eligibility
Enrollment in Guardian's long-term disability insurance is limited to Freelancers Union members who meet the eligibility requirements.
Coverage Amounts
Members may choose one of the following flat benefit options, up to 50% of your current monthly salary: $500, $750, $1,000, $1,250, $1,500, $2,000, $2,500, $3,000.
Benefit payments will begin after you have been unable to work for a 30 or 90 day elimination period (depending on your election) due to disability.
Special Offer: Freelancers Union members who purchase both life and disability insurance will receive $1.00 off of the combined cost.For reference, the Group policy number is 425611.
