MEDICAID
Medicaid is available to eligible low-income individuals and families. Medicaid does not pay money to you; instead, it sends payments directly to your health care providers. Depending on the rules in your state, you may also be asked to pay a small part of the cost (co-payment) for some medical services. Eligibility and benefits vary by state – please see the state specific information below.

State Child Health Insurance Program (SCHIP)
This program for infants, children and teens is available in every state to children in working families. For little or no cost, this insurance pays for your child’s doctor visits, prescriptions, hospitalization, and more. Eligibility varies by state – please see your state’s program information below.
