Eileen P., writer, Orlando, FL

"Jessica from Spectrum Higher Education in Orlando, FL contacted me on March 10, 2011 and asked me to write some material for her "company newsletter." I provided a quote, she agreed on the price and I created the material. I turned over the material to her on March 14, 2011 and she disappeared. The newsletter turned out to be the company Web site. She added the material to the Web site on April 14, 2011, and my material is still published there today (8/2/2011). I have billed Spectrum Higher Education for the work no fewer than eight times since 4/1/2011 and have received absolutely nothing - not even a reply to my emails. You can read the full details of my misadventure with Spectrum Higher Education at: My simple advice to anyone else who is considering doing business with Spectrum Higher Education is that you get paid in full and up front before you provide anything of value. If you can't get paid up front, don't waste your time with this two-person company. "
