Take Part in a Brief UC Survey on Freelance Tech Work

I’m Robin Savinar a PhD candidate in Sociology at the University of California who also does freelance work in marketing communications.

Freelancers Union encouraged me to invite members to contribute their work experience to a study that I’m leading about the career paths of science and technology professionals in the U.S.

We want to better understand how freelance professional achievements in tech and science vary by gender, race/ethnicity, immigration status, etc.

Freelancers are a critical part of our inquiry as we’ll be comparing freelancers to those who work “in-house” to learn how freelancers deal with the vagaries of working outside of firms.

Anyone 18+ who lives in the U.S. and works in tech (software development, web design, etc.) or science can participate.

The 10-minute anonymous survey can be found here, or at http://tinyurl.com/hhq78y9.

Feel free to contact me with questions rlsavinar@ucdavis.edu.

Thanks in advance for your valuable time.

Please share the invitation and link widely. The more data the better!
